I don't have any technical knowledge, can I still enroll in this course?
Yes, you can. We believe privacy is a basic human right that should be available to anyone. We made this course so that even our grandmothers could be following it!
When I DeGoogle my phone, will I still be able to use my favorite apps?
You will. In the course we will explain what the different implications will be for using different kind of apps. We will, for example, highly discourage you to use an app like Whatsapp or Facebook. But, if there’s really no other option (on another phone for example), we will still offer the option to use it in the most privately friendly way possible. And, on the other hand, we will still highly encourage you to get used to using alternatives.
I have an iPhone, can I still follow this course?
The first section of the course will be a general one, focusing on the privacy flaws we have on the internet in general. The rest of the course will be specifically for Android phone. The thing with iPhones is that the software is not as editable as much as Android, so there is a lot less you can do. What you can do, however, is purchase a cheap Android phone with great specs (like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro). You can then rebuild this phone and use this one for the maximum amount of privacy. You then have a choice to make.

We at Android-Privacy.com we like the Xiaomi Redmi note 8/9, because of it’s great specs for a really low price. This low price mostly comes from all the bloatware that comes pre-installed on it, but we are going to get rid of that anyway 😉
I can just install a custom rom and then I'm done right?
No! This is a big mistake a lot of people make. Just installing a private rom will get rid of Google’s Android, but you’re still far away from the most privacy friendly setup (also see section 2 of the course).
How long is section 3?
Section 3 itself is 2 hours of video material. The rebuilding will probably take 3 hours for a more technical person and 4/5 hours for a less technical person.
How much time do I save?

Heel fijn hoe Ernad me uitleg heeft gegeven met het omzetten naar een systeem zoals elke telefoon hoort te werken. In alle rust en met veel kennis er de tijd voor genomen. Fijn zo’n service. Nu vooral zelf ontdekken hoe nu verder, met als geruststelling de back-up van de mannen.
Fantastische hulp bij problemen met Aurora
Aurora deed het niet goed meer. Ik heb geprobeerd om via de FAQ achter een oplossing te komen maar dat is me niet gelukt. Vervolgens heb ik per mail mijn probleem uitgelegd en ik kreeg tot mijn stomme verbazing in no time antwoord van Ernad. Een paar keer heel snel heen en weer gemaild en toen stelde Ernad voor om te bellen. Helemaal top. Hij nam alle tijd om alles te bestuderen en uit te leggen en daarna waren alle problemen opgelost!
