The first part of the course is focusing on the violation of our privacy and the definition of privacy itself. Why would you even want or need it? Is it even possible to maintain your privacy in today’s day and age? Later on the course we will focus on solutions, without the need to go and buy a new phone. I don't have any technical knowledge, can I still enroll in this course?
Yes, you can. We believe privacy is a basic human right that should be available to anyone. We made this course so that even our grandmothers could be following it!
When I DeGoogle my phone, will I still be able to use my favorite apps?
You will. In the course we will explain what the different implications will be for using different kind of apps. We will, for example, highly discourage you to use an app like Whatsapp or Facebook. But, if there’s really no other option (on another phone for example), we will still offer the option to use it in the most privately friendly way possible. And, on the other hand, we will still highly encourage you to get used to using alternatives.
I have an iPhone, can I still follow this course?
The first section of the course will be a general one, focusing on the privacy flaws we have on the internet in general. The rest of the course will be specifically for Android phone. The thing with iPhones is that the software is not as editable as much as Android, so there is a lot less you can do. What you can do, however, is purchase a cheap Android phone with great specs (like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro). You can then rebuild this phone and use this one for the maximum amount of privacy. You then have a choice to make.

We at Android-Privacy.com we like the Xiaomi Redmi note 8/9, because of it’s great specs for a really low price. This low price mostly comes from all the bloatware that comes pre-installed on it, but we are going to get rid of that anyway 😉
I can just install a custom rom and then I'm done right?
No! This is a big mistake a lot of people make. Just installing a private rom will get rid of Google’s Android, but you’re still far away from the most privacy friendly setup (also see section 2 of the course).
How long is section 3?
Section 3 itself is 2 hours of video material. The rebuilding will probably take 3 hours for a more technical person and 4/5 hours for a less technical person.
How much time do I save?

Top! Heel blij!
Ik vind het fantastisch om er achter te komen wat er allemaal mogelijk is om je privacy terug te nemen. Het voelt ontzettend goed en moeilijk is het niet! De handleiding voor de telefoon is heel gebruiksvriendelijk en zeer uitgebreid. Ik heb er nu al ontzettend veel van geleerd. Ik heb mijn telefoon nu een paar weken en ben in een rustig tempo alles aan het overzetten,..stap voor stap..en het lukt me aardig. Heel fijn dat er ook de mogelijkheid is om hulp te vragen als het nodig is, uitmuntende service! Dat maak je niet mee als je een “normale” mobiel aanschaft, dan wordt je aan je lot overgelaten. Ik kan deze telefoon ten zeerste aanbevelen en hoop dat veel mensen gaan beseffen dat het terug pakken van je privacy noodzakelijk is! Dit is 1 van de stappen om je privacy weer in eigen handen te nemen en het is nog bijzonder leuk ook:)
Allemaal topproducten en super uitleg
Inmiddels hebben we 3 telefoons (mijn vrouw, mijn dochter en ik) en een laptop in ons bezit. Alles helemaal prima en zeer toegankelijk. Uitleg is heel goed, beter dan dit ga je nergens nergens krijjgen. Wesly en zijn team doen een zeer goede daad voor de privacy van de mensen. Dank jullie wel!
Opnieuw Bizar goed
Ik ben/was al helemaal blij met de Snowden telefoon van 3 jaar geleden, maar nu ook nog een grote laptop gekocht en gekregen. Geweldige handleidingen en wat een mooi apparaat. Deze manier van denken/beveiligen/klantvriendelijkheid enz.enz is de standaard voor de toekomst. Ik ben hier wel heel vrolijk van geworden.

Het duurde een tijdje om over te stappen van mijn Android naar de Pixel 6a ook al had ik ‘m al een tijdje in huis. Ongegronde koudwatervrees 😉 Want door de goeie handleidingen op het platform van Pro-privacy en stap voor stap hulp van Ernad aan de telefoon- kon ik de telefoon goed leren gebruiken. Helaas bleek er iets mis met de telefoon want op een gegeven moment laadde ie niet meer op. Ik kon de telefoon opsturen op hun kosten naar een reparatiecentrum waar zij een samenwerking mee hebben. Toen ik de telefoon terugkreeg, hield ie er helaas binnen 3 uur opnieuw mee op, ook al had ie een nieuwe accu gekregen. Inmiddels had ik besloten ook de Fedora Linux laptop te kopen en ik maakte een afspraak met hen op hun kantoor. Ik kreeg een geheel nieuwe telefoon van Wesley en ze hebben mij vervolgens urenlang geholpen om zowel de telefoon als de laptop in te richten met de juiste apps en foto’s over te zetten van mijn Android naar Fedora. Echt fantastisch! Ja een nieuw besturingssysteem is zeker wennen in het begin maar echt…zodra je ergens niet uit komt- check de goede handleidingen op het Pro-privacy platform en/of bel met Ernad. Ze staan altijd voor je klaar. En je moet weten dat ik echt niet technisch aangelegd ben- maar Wesley en Erna zijn beide super geduldig en leggen het je net zolang uit totdat je het snapt. Echt…als je nog steeds treuzelt om deze stap te zetten…Doe Het! Je privacy van jou en je dierbaren is te belangrijk om weg te geven.
