Welcome to the Android privacy course! In this course we will teach you everything about creating the best possible privacy setup on your Android device. Not only do we endorse privacy, but this course is build around a couple of key values: privacy, open-source software, freedom of speech, and if possible: decentralization.

The first part of the course is focusing on the violation of our privacy and the definition of privacy itself. Why would you even want or need it? I don't have any technical knowledge, can I still enroll in this course?

Yes, you can. We believe privacy is a basic human right that should be available to anyone. We made this course so that even our grandmothers could be following it!

When I DeGoogle my phone, will I still be able to use my favorite apps?

You will. In the course we will explain what the different implications will be for using different kind of apps. We will, for example, highly discourage you to use an app like Whatsapp or Facebook. But, if there’s really no other option (on another phone for example), we will still offer the option to use it in the most privately friendly way possible. And, on the other hand, we will still highly encourage you to get used to using alternatives.

I have an iPhone, can I still follow this course?

The first section of the course will be a general one, focusing on the privacy flaws we have on the internet in general. The rest of the course will be specifically for Android phone. The thing with iPhones is that the software is not as editable as much as Android, so there is a lot less you can do. What you can do, however, is purchase a cheap Android phone with great specs (like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro). You can then rebuild this phone and use this one for the maximum amount of privacy. You then have a choice to make.

Can I get a refund?

We at Android-Privacy.com we like the Xiaomi Redmi note 8/9, because of it’s great specs for a really low price. This low price mostly comes from all the bloatware that comes pre-installed on it, but we are going to get rid of that anyway 😉

I can just install a custom rom and then I'm done right?

No! This is a big mistake a lot of people make. Just installing a private rom will get rid of Google’s Android, but you’re still far away from the most privacy friendly setup (also see section 2 of the course).

How long is section 3?

Section 3 itself is 2 hours of video material. The rebuilding will probably take 3 hours for a more technical person and 4/5 hours for a less technical person.

How much time do I save?

Aangezien mijn Microsoft licentie in juni afliep, heb ik van de gelegenheid gebruik gemaakt om mijn laptop te laten ombouwen naar Fedora Linux. Ook heb ik een aanvullend consult erbij genomen. Het geduld, klantvriendelijkheid en service die Ernad bood was weer van topkwaliteit. Aangezien het installeren van Fedora wat tijd in beslag neemt, heeft Ernad ondertussen mijn telefoon nagekeken en hebben we leuke en interessante gesprekken gevoerd. De tijd vloog voorbij! Eenmaal verlost van Microsoft voelde ik een onbeschrijfelijk gevoel van bevrijding over me heen vallen; sowieso bevrijd van irritante One Drive. Proprivacy en Ernad, heel erg bedankt!!!

Dit is de eerste keer in 49 jaar dat ik een fatsoenlijke uitleg krijg bij de aanschaf van een telefoon (incl. daarbij passende apps) echt heel fijn en duidelijk allemaal. Thnx!! Ga vooral zo door 🙂

Begeleiding en uitleg

Het was op mijn verzoek om bij het ophalen van mijn pixel 8a hulp en uitleg te krijgen.

Ik werd vriendelijk ontvangen en met veel geduld werden apps geplaatst en werd mij uitgelegd hoe een en anders in zijn werk ging. Natuurlijk moet ik er nu zelf mee aan de slag om de werking te oefenen en ook daar is via de site hulp bij aanwezig. Ook moet ik wennen aan al die nieuwe namen van de app’s en daar heb ik nog wel even tijd voor nodig. Al met al een geslaagde actie die ik een ieder kan aanraden, vooral als je niet zo goed bent met electronica. Ook was het mogelijk om het totale bedrag in delen te voldoen en voor dit alles mijn dank.

Ik moet er aan wennen.de apps heten anders. Omdat het over privacy gaat moet ik keuzes maken. Mijn Android toestel is een groot lek. De handleiding vind ik top, heel uitgebreid. De service ben ik blij mee. Het is voor mij een beste studie maar wel een waar ik 100% achter sta.
